Not every female who likes to build things or repaint furniture is a girly girl. We get that. But for gals like me – a little bit frilly, a little bit rock and roll – these tools and accessories are my kinda thing. Here are my Top 10 selections for gifts – all under $50 – that are a little out of the ordinary for the extraordinary DIY lady in your life.

Prices subject to change.

1.       Apollo Household Tools - $49.99

Man, when I was a single lass, I would have loved to have a kit like this at my apartment. A handy lady could take care of a lot of household repairs with this 201-piece tool kit. It includes a hammer, pliers, screwdrivers, tape measure, bit driver, hex keys, level, hacksaw and a picture hanging assortment, along with a pink bag perfect for storing it all. Bonus: Apollo donates $0.75 of your purchase to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.

2.       Pro Ears Hearing Protection - $34.99

One size does not fit all when it comes to hearing protection, so Pro Ears created these ReVO ear muffs a little bit smaller and a lot more stylish. I love the pink rain version, but they are also available in neon green, skulls, zombie, purple zebra, neon pink, blue diamond, blue rain and purple rain.

3.       CAT Eyewear Safety Glasses - $18.99

Who said safety glasses have to be plain and blah? CAT designed these ANSI certified safety glasses with looks and function in mind. They come in a variety of lens shapes and colors, but my choice has clear lenses with yellow and black accents. Not only do they comfortably protect your eyes to reduce the risk of injury, but they stand up to the most demanding environments and activities.

4.       Anti-Fatigue Floor Mat 2' x 3' - $36.99

If you spend any amount of time on your feet, you know it can be heck on your back and legs. The Comfort King Supreme mat offers superior softness, resilience and durability to combat the fatigue that comes with standing on concrete. Speaking as a self-proclaimed klutz myself, I appreciate the beveled edges and slip-resistant surface of these mats. I love the royal blue, but they can also be purchased in black and steel gray in sizes up to 3' x  5'.
