“I never regretted buying a fine quality tool to do quality woodworking”…Bill Jordan

Bill entered the Festool Sweepstakes at our Salt Lake City Woodcraft store which ran between September 1st and October 31st, 2012.  He is a hobbyist woodworker making boxes, tables and doing some remodeling work.  Bill has built a log house and is currently restoring a 1950′s model canned ham trailer complete with all new wood interior.

Above is Bill’s Playhouse/Garden Shed (left) and a pair of bathroom vanities (right) made with a walnut log cut in half, then made into a rather large bandsaw box and placed on both sides of the bathroom that is part of a master bedroom in a log house at Sundance Ski Resort. If you look closely you’ll notice drawer fronts on each vanity along with the wash bowls.

Bill stated, “I never regretted buying a fine quality tool to do quality woodworking”, and “I look forward to touring the Festool Training Facility in Las Vegas.”   Bill also said, “I appreciate the value of a good dust collection system when it comes to proper protection in my shop and It will be nice to use Festool’s high level Dust Collection System

A bar top (left) made with a very large slab of black walnut. (4″ x 18″ x about 8′ long) (same cabin). Pictured right is a stairway made with large slabs of black walnut.

Bill told us, “My idea of retirement is to stop being a Recreational Therapist and begin doing more woodwork, mainly just for the fun of it. Thanks for helping to make that more of a reality with the great woodworking tools!!!”

Second Prize of a $250 gift card is awarded to Jim Houston from Boca Raton, Florida who entered online at www.Woodcraft.com.

Third Prize of a $100 gift card goes to Kevin Epeneter who entered through our Portland Oregon Woodcraft store.
