Daisy-Chaining Pipe Clamps
Comments (0)This article is from Issue 49 of Woodcraft Magazine.

Although I have plenty of pipe clamps in various lengths,
there have been times when I needed more reach. Yes, I know that you can attach
pipe couplers to the tail end of a pipe to extend it, but that’s too much
hassle. There’s a much quicker and easier way.
I just select two clamps of appropriate length and
rotate their jaws to interlock as shown. While this isn’t necessarily the best
approach for edge-gluing panels, it works great for assembling very wide
cabinets, attaching edging from a distance, and other long-reach clamping
chores.
