Jim Steele

Jim comes from a manufacturing and engineering background, working mostly with custom equipment. He purchased his first scroll saw in 1957. After being downsized in 1992 "What-Nots by Jim and Barb" was born, and is still active to some degree. After so many years, we can honestly say that the scroll saw is Jim's forte. According to him, the scroll saw can be utilized it in conjunction with just about every other hand and power tool in the shop. Computer skills with various software greatly aid in project design and pattern generation. All of this combined provides him unlimited potential to learn and enjoy artistic and practical projects. Jim is also a charter member of the Orange County Scroll Saw Association, and an active member of the Orange County Woodworkers Association. Besides working at Woodcraft, Jim keeps busy with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and his business with his wife Barb.

Tom Anderson

Tom began woodworking during his high school woodshop class and has been making projects on and off since then. His recent retirement has enabled him to work part time at Woodcraft and build up his own shop at home. He is currently expanding his woodworking knowledge by taking classes at Cerritos Community College in their WMT (Woodworking Manufacturing Technology) program. Tom's specialty is building and finishing fine furniture and cabinetry. Tom has been with us since the store opening in November of 2003. He teaches turning classes and helps out with our power tool demonstrations. Tom is a confessed "tool junkie" and welcomes the opportunity to talk tools. Tom's motto is: "Remember, you can never have too many clamps!"

Fred Wilmott

Fred has been woodworking for the last dozen years, but because of time restraints it has been mostly 'honey do' projects. Since his retirement from sales and marketing, he has had a chance to hone his skills and start doing some creative woodworking. Fred has been with Woodcraft since the Stanton store opened in November 2003 and teaches bandsaw and pen making classes. He is very active in the Orange County Woodworkers Association where he is the editor of the newsletter. Between his wife, Janice, two daughters and grandson he keeps busy making everything from toys to furniture.
