Ramey Hanna
Ramey Hanna grew up in Lexington, Ky. In 2002 she attended Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, Ga., where she studied furniture design and industrial design. Working with a variety of materials and directives, she has refined her skills as a designer and craftsman. After graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts, she returned to Kentucky in 2006. Ramey was introduced to more practical forms of woodworking while working as a builder for a local cabinet shop. She also practiced refinishing, repair and conservation techniques while working for an antique conservator. After a few years of hands-on experience in the trade, Ramey decided to open her own woodworking shop to pursue her true passion, woodturning. Since May of 2008, Ramey has been designing and producing functional artwork that is as diverse as it is unique.
