I feel very privileged to join the team as the store manager in Oct of 2008. I come from the retail hardware industry. As a small boy I grew up in my dad’s hardware and also developed my desire to work with wood in his shop. I spent 4 years as a communication officer in the USAF before joining my father in the hardware business for close to 25 years. Over the years my passion for woodworking has grown mostly in furniture and cabinets, but I have recently developed a love for turning.
I and the team here at the Woodcraft Store of Roanoke look forward to helping you with your woodworking projects.

I worked for Merillat and Bruce Cabinets in the cabinet manufacturing business for 25 to 30 years. I have enjoyed working with wood for most of my life. I enjoy carving and furniture making in my shop. I am currently working on a Chess Table. I have recently started working on the lathe. Turning pens and Mushrooms are my favorites right now.

I have been around woodworking most of my life. My Grandfather was a woodworker and growing up around him was what sparked my interest in working with wood. I started playing around with his Scroll Saw and Band Saw. After that I worked for about 7 years in the custom cabinetry industry. I have recently gotten hooked on woodturning. I enjoy working at Woodcraft, so I can share my experiences and learn from the other guys working here and from the customers that shop with us.
