Lennie Williams
Lennie is the Assistant Manager of the Boise store. She has an MBA and worked for 16 years in management for a multi-billion dollar company before leaving to open her own businesses. She produces and sells roughouts for carving through her website as well as working for Woodcraft. Lennie's primary interest is in carving: relief, realistic wildlife, caricature, storybook animals, and traditional architectural styles. You can see her entries in the employee section of the wildlife carving contest every year. She has taught monthly carving classes at the Boise store for the last 5 years. Other woodworking interests are scrolling, pyrography, and she is eager to learn more about lathework. When she is not woodworking, Lennie can be found teaching ballroom and social dance at the dance studio she owns with her partner.
Jeff McVey
Part-time employee Jeff McVey is our resident "Mr. Fix-it". Jeff's "day job" is with the U.S. Government, where he serves as an aviation contract specification writer and aircraft inspector. Should we encounter a problem with any machine, Jeff is called to come to the rescue. He also assembles new machines for display in our showroom, and disassembles for transport those sold off the floor.
Jeff is recognized as one of the nation's leading experts on old woodworking machinery. He maintains a large library dedicated to this subject, and has contacts nationwide who share this interest. His shop is outfitted with huge, antique machines dating from the 1890's through the 1950's, and he looks forward to retirement in order to make more frequent use of them.
Jeff's expertise extends to modern machinery as well, and he performs repair work in the Boise area. Woodcraft plans for Jeff to conduct future classes on alignment and adjustment of all types of woodworking machinery, as well as electric motors, controls, and shop wiring.
Sharon Becker
Sharon is married with two sons and two grandchildren. Her woodburned nutcrackers have been sold at the Boise Art Museum for almost ten years and she has her own store on Ebay. She has taught pen turning, woodburning, scroll saw and artistic paint finishing. She is in the process of setting up her shop for doll furniture and miniature woodwork. She has won ribbons in carving, woodburning and scrollwork.
Bob Rudkin
Bob is a retired Physics teacher who enjoys all sorts of woodworking. He particularly enjoys his part time job at the Boise Woodcraft Store. Over the years Bob enjoyed building new homes and remodeling old ones. His experiences range from doing concrete work to framing, finishing and painting. Now his time is consumed with grandchildren, woodworking hobbies, snowshoeing and camping. Bob is currently teaching our tablesaw, picture framing and Akeda dovetail jig classes.
