Product Information:

These economical fittings will help you build a high performance dust extraction system for your shop. Made of ABS plastic (except for the aluminum blast gates), these fittings are designed to stand up against the abrasive nature of saw dust and wood fiber. Universal Tool Adapter adapts your wet/dry vacuum hose to stationary or portable power tools. It's constructed of a tough material and conforms to slight variations in size. The "stepped" design contains a 1", 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2" external diameter and a 1-1/4", 1-1/2" and 2-1/2" internal diameter connection. It also has a square flange with mounting holes that can be used with a collection box. Because of the danger of static electricity involved with dust collection we highly recommend the book Dust Collection Basics #85O17 to be read prior to any installation.

Comments about 12" x 12" Table Saw Dust Extraction Fitting :

The tapered "Port", when combined with the matching tapered quick disconnect 4" O.D. Dust Collection Fitting (item #140259) will work - if you use either a rubber band for a friction fit (if you regularly need to move it to more than one machine), or, with a suitable adhesive (such as E-6000) if you're never going to move it again. So, yes, I would recommend this to a fellow woodworker with the appropriate forgoing modifications. In fact, I may try affixing the rubber band to the inside of the 4" quick disconnect - if that doesn't interfere with connecting it to the straight, un-tapered, 4" hose to 2ΒΌ" fitting connector I also need to use.

Comments about 12" x 12" Table Saw Dust Extraction Fitting :

tried several options to adapt this and other ABS chutes to 2-1/2" collection system. Possable with many fittings but space was probibiting. Shame too as this would have worked so well.

Comments about 12" x 12" Table Saw Dust Extraction Fitting :

It's a Contractor's table saw accessory that gives the saw a bad name in the way of dust collection performance. I have a much better solution.

Comments about 12" x 12" Table Saw Dust Extraction Fitting :

This unit is 12x12 is size. The opening is a tapered opening with an OD of 3-3/4". You can not clamp on a hose as it would slide off. In order to use this effectively, one must retrofit a hose to it or find the proper piece that will fit it. No matter what one uses, because of its design the hose adapter will not stay on.
