Product Information:

The California Air Tools 6310 Ultra Quiet air compressor is designed to be one of the quietest air compressors in the industry having only 60 decibels of sound. This air compressor makes less sound than a normal conversation (65 decibels). The powerful 1.0 HP motor operates at only 1680 RPM creating less noise and less wear.

The Oil-Free Dual Piston Pump System is engineered for high performance and durability. The oil-free pump allows you to use in different temperatures and uneven terrains. The 6.3 gallon steel horizontal air tank with wheel kit provides extra air capacity and super easy portability. The added water trap helps remove excess water from the air as well. This air compressor is ideal for anyone working where noise levels are a concern.

Comments about California Air Tools 6310 Ultra Quiet & Oil-Free 1 HP, 6.3 Gal. Air Compressor :

This compressor truly is quiet. Unlike all the others in the 100 to $300 price range. I measured it with my DB meter and it was 63DB. Just a little above a conversation. It handles nail guns just fine. I have used it with the brad nailer and a framing nailer. No problems. I have also used it with my HVLP spray guns. It keeps up with them. With the small tank I would not want to be using it all day as it would probably overheat the compressor. But for jobs of a couple of hours it is fine. I painted my fence and shed and part of the house with a 1.8 HVLP spray gun and it was fine. I was running the gun at about 30 psi. When done and when cleaning it out I opened the gun wide open and the compressor maintained 60PSI. The compressor was running constantly doing that which I would not recommend but I wanted to see what it could keep up with. It comes with a gauge for the tank pressure and a second adjustment for the line pressure. It also comes with an inline filter that collects water and you can purge the water by pushing the button on the bottom of the filter. This is good to have to keep water out of the lines. It also has the drain valve at the bottom of the tank to get the water out of the main tank. It is a light, small, inexpensive, very quiet compressor good for home use. The service was excellent. The first one was damaged in shipping. It had been dropped. I contacted the company, California Air Tools, told them it was damaged, and sent them a picture. They emailed me a UPS return label and all I had to do was take it to UPS and they paid to ship it back. They shipped a replacement that arrived in good condition. The one downside is that the wheels rub on the side of the tank. They need to move the mounting brackets a little wider on the tank. I put a 5/16" spacer in between the bracket and the wheel and that helped a lot. It is very light and has handles on both ends so it is easy to pick up and move. I would highly recommend this for anyone looking for a home compressor. I have had it for a year now and have no issue with it at all. It gets mostly light use in my home work shop. While the compressor is fine I gave it four stars bacause the wheels don't roll as it is when delivered.
