Product Information:

If you’re interested in maximizing the yield of expensive veneer grade woods and reducing the sanding necessary to create a finished surface while cutting through thick, heavy stock like a knife going through hot butter, this is the blade for you. Normal bandsaw blades use a hooked tooth design, with a set on each tooth that creates a larger kerf and leaves a rough cut. The Resaw King looks more like a table saw blade with its C8 carbide tipped teeth that are individually brazed and ground to perfection on a stress crack resistant Swedish silicon steel backing. Combine these one-of-a-kind features with the 3/4" width and the vibration/harmonic reducing 2-3 TPI variable pitch tooth design and the result is a massive blade will easily slice ultra-smooth, wafer thin veneers with minimal waste. All blades feature a .024" backing, 2-3 TPI with variable 12mm/14mm/16mm pitch to produce a .041" kerf.

Comments about Laguna Resaw King Bandsaw Blade 111" x .75" x Variable TPI :

A great blade worth the cost. Really enhances the quality of cut especially since I use my bandsaw as a replacement for a tablesaw (about 95%)

Comments about Laguna Resaw King Bandsaw Blade 111" x .75" x Variable TPI :

I have had mixed results with various blades in re-sawing woods for my guitars and ukuleles. This blade seems to have eliminated all of my previous problems/failures. In my first test, I sliced a 3/32" slab from a 4 inch piece of walnut. I then moved the fence in and cut a 1/32' slice. That is all I needed to convince myself I had found the blade I always wanted.

About Me Avid Do-It-Yourselfer

Pros

  • Fast Cutting Speed
  • Great Blade

Cons

  • Boo hoo it's pricey

Best Uses

  • Cutting abrasive material
  • Exotic species

Comments about Laguna Resaw King Bandsaw Blade 111" x .75" x Variable TPI :

I almost exclusively use "exotic" species, Rosewoods, ebony, bubinga, etc. Bandsaw blades don't last long with these materials, and often left a rough surface which required hours of work with scrapers and sandpaper to polish smooth again. I ended up wasting a fair amount of these expensive and rare woods just to smooth the surface. No more. This blade cuts through all woods like butter with an incredibly smooth surface. I just finished milling a piece of snakewood which barely heated up at all and developed NO CRACKS. Was able to rough out a cane handle of snakewood very easily. I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH IT. Apparently it can also be resharpened several times.

Wow. What a smooth cut! This thing glides through 12" thick material easily. Used on a powerful saw with great Carter guides all I need to do is sand the piece after re-sawing. Truly amazing.

Comments about Laguna Resaw King Bandsaw Blade 111" x .75" x Variable TPI :

Purchased for my Rikon 14" bandsaw (my saw is a little underpowered) to see if it could help. Does a great job on thick material. I have only used about 2 dz. times hope it lasts a long time, as the price is not cheap.
