Comments about RIKON Mini Lathe 24" Bed Extension :

This is a must addition if you purchase the Rikon 70-100. It makes the machine much more versatile. It is great for turning longer items and even handy for getting the tail stock out of the way when you are turning anything that needs hollowing or end work. It also adds weight and helps keep the lathe even steadier than it already is.

Comments about RIKON Mini Lathe 24" Bed Extension :

I needed the extension to turn some vanity legs from 17-1/4in to 29-1/4 in. I bought the Sears, a few years ago, model 21752 which is visually and spec wise the same machine as the Rikon lathe the ext. is designed for. [@]no longer carries the Craftsman extension, so I tried this from the local woodcraft. At first the joint of the lathe bed and extension did not meet right and did not allow the tool rest or the tailstock to pass smoothly. After a few minutes of tweeking the join meets fine and the transition between beds is perfect. I am only giving 4 stars because I do not like to spend money and this is very pricey for what it does.

Comments about RIKON Mini Lathe 24" Bed Extension :

I use the extension bed with a rikon midi lathe. I am making doll beds that require 27 inch spindles, so the extension bed allows me to duplicate, even though it is a two part process, which is turning one end, the flipping over and turning the other end. Works great
