Product Information:

The mortise & tenon is the strongest and most versatile of woodworking joints. With the Frame Mortise and Tenon family of jigs and a plunge router, every woodworker can easily produce this incredible joint with unmatched accuracy and speed. All of the guides and bits used with the original are common to both jigs allowing both FMT jigs to produce a vast array of mortise and tenon sizes from unbelievably small joints to massive 5” joints. Both jigs work with virtually any plunge router to produce precise, straight, double, angled and compound angled joints with sizes ranging from 1/16” x 1/8” to 1/2” x 5”.

As the name implies professional woodworkers will rely on the cast and extruded aluminum construction of the FMT PRO with cam-action speed clamps, retractable sight and integral dust collection system.

Both jigs include five 5/16" joint guides (5/16" x 1/2", 3/4", 1", 1-1/4" and 1-1/2"); joint guide stand; 5/16" HSS spiral upcut bit with 1/2" shank; mounting hardware and as you would expect from Leigh Industries a comprehensive illustrated user guide.

Comments about FMT Pro Frame Mortise & Tenon Jig :

I got this from my wife several months ago and love it. This has made the job of jointing easy! Allows for perfectly aligned mortise and tenon joints, it allows for a short set up time and varied sizes of joints. The product is well built and will last a lifetime, guides are easy to change. It does the job I want it to do. Price may seem high but this product is worth it if you are creating multiple joints! Thanks again Leigh for doing it right

Comments about FMT Pro Frame Mortise & Tenon Jig :

For whatever it's worth, I could hardly believe the quality of the FMT Pro when I unpacked it. I don't have enough superlatives; it looks as though it's way better made than it actually needs to be. Not only does it appear to be useful in making accurate joints, but its mere appearance will be an inspiration, even when the tool is not in use. I haven't been as impressed since I bought my first Bridge City square or my INCA major table saw or Pfeil cabinetmaker's chisels (or, more recently) my Toyota Prius— and those items still impress me. It can be done right; it should be done right; and those of us who want it done right ought to be prepared to pay. Value given appears to at least match price paid. Congratulations to Leigh for giving honest value for price!

Comments about FMT Pro Frame Mortise & Tenon Jig :

At first glance the product may seem a bit complicated and time consuming for setup - but simply follow the simple guidelines for learning to use the jig (2 hours) start to finish - and from then on, creating quIck and perfect joints is a joy.
