Comments about Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Castle Doll House, Plan No. 794 :

Plans were fine for the price. Disapointed with the cardboard oatmeal box tower. I am making this as a christmas present for my 5 year old granddaughter and a cardboard oatmeat box tower won't last long. Plus I am making it as something special for her that she maybe even pass it down to her children. I have built doll houses and log cabins from kits for my other grandkids and they plan giving them to their children. I am going to use a 6 inch diameter thick cardboard cement mold pipe instead (much thicker and stronger). It will look a little larger than the plans but will last a lot longer. Also I was surprised that the castle was not designed to be one piece. I am going to add floors to the smaller buildings and permantly attach them to section 1. Just to spruce it up a little, I am going to wrap the windows inside and out. Overall still like the pattern and would buy it again. I am only giving constructive comments. I will send you a picture when it is done. Phil Spencer
