Product Information:

Standard flat head screws can penetrate into the wood, causing it to split. The head may also protrude about the countersink. HIGHPOINT
undercut flat heads seat flush in the countersink hole providing a more pleasing look to the finished product. HIGHPOINT Euro hinge screws are
manufactured with concentric round heads and are designed to fit flush in European style hinges and slides. The Type 17 auger point gives quicker
penetration and reduced splitting. Can also be used for hinges.

Comments about 6 x 5/8 HighPoint European Slide Screws, Undercut Flat Head, Phillips Drive, Zinc, 100-Piece :

These are excellent screws. The holding strength is exceptional for their size. They're the only screws I use for my musical instruments. While they are self tapping, a 1/16th pilot hole is best.
