Product Information:

Now you can make dead straight, silky smooth, splinter free cuts in hardwood veneered plywood with a portable circular saw. The secret of course, is the use of a Festool TS 55 or TS 75 EQ circular saw and a Festool Precision Guide Rail. The unique Festool guide rail system is designed for use with Festool products, so adapters are unnecessary. Two soft, grippy, cushion strips underneath the guide rail are strategically located to prevent slippage and splintering. Upon first use, a hard rubber edge strip is trimmed back by the tool so that it precisely indicates the cut line for future work without calculations for base plate offset. Special "C" clamps fit into a slot under the guide rail for obstruction free work when absolute positioning accuracy is required. Made in Germany.

  • Hard-anodized surface
  • Soft, non-slip coating
  • Hard rubber splinter guard
  • Mounting slot for: FSW angle unit, 2 FSV connectors, FSZ clamps, FS-AW Deflector
  • Festool products can only be sold in the 50 states

Comments about Festool 55" Guide Rail :

I cut up 5 sheets of poplar, 3/4" plywood. I ripped all 5 into 13" 14" and 15" by 8' pieces. In other words, ripped each of the 5 sheets into 3 long strips. I bought the clamps when I bought the saw and str8 edge. The clamps are still in the package! I plopped the guide down, aligned the marks with the edge, and ripped away. The guide never moved, I made a total of 15 ripping cuts and not a single piece was less than perfect.

Comments about Festool 55" Guide Rail :

When using connected guide rails it was sometimes difficult to connect them in a perfectly straight line because the ends are not always machined to a perfect 90 deg. and the instruction manual does not tell you how to align them. I had to resort to a separate straight edge to get them properly aligned. I would recommend them, but be sure check the alignment after assembly.
