third time charm???

Comments about 1/4" Drill Bit For Shelf Pin Jig :
My first one of these fell apart and was replaced by you. The replacement did the same midway through a project. I ordered another one to finish up, but there already signs of a repeat failure. I'm not drilling thousands of holes at a fast rate. Maybe one to two hundred every now and then. Most small bookcases easily have that many. I have looked at other units but they look like they are all made by the same company. Hopefully this third one will hold up a little longer.

About Me Homeowner
This bit works very well with the jig for drilling holes in the kitchen cabinets for shelf pins. Simple, easy to use, you can't make a mistake, unless you try very hard!
Guide Metal to soft.

About Me Hobby Woodwoker
This bit easily clogs with wood chips, and the guide is made of soft metal. I have had to disassemble and sand out burrs in the metal guide after limited use.

About Me Handyman
Drilled about 50 holes with it and the walls of the guide twisted and seized the bit. There are three holes in the guide and the legs between them seem weak. Woodcraft replaced it immediately and all has been well, so far, with the new one.
