When using a 1 1/2" blade, the blade gaurd needs to be shimmed out so the teeth dont rub. The hinged door for the lower blade guide is made of very thin steel and vibrates into the bade at times, so it is very hard to keep a sharp blade. The fence is one of th biggest disapointments. it has uhmw pads that come loss at the worst times. When using a 1 1/2" blade, the blade gaurd needs to be shimmed out so the teeth dont rub. The hinged door for the lower blade guide is made of very thin steel and vibrates into the bade at times, so it is very hard to keep a sharp blade.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend
