This is my second cryo bowl gouge, and I was not disapointed. The quality is excellent. One thing to be aware of, is that these gouges are long. This is not a bad thing, but I was surprised and they can sometimes get in the way when working on a midi lathe.

This bowl gouge works amazingly well. I never had a great set of turning tools, so I can't compare it to other high-end ones, but I can't imagine they could get any better than this! This gouge is a simple tool to use, and stays extremely sharp. I have tried it on several maple spindles I needed to turn, (yeah, I know it's supposed to be used for bowls) and it cut very cleanly and quickly. This tool is definatly worth the cost.

The tool is very well balanced making it a joy to use. The cutting edge holds up very well in a variety of woods. The glue in my segmented rings does not seem to dull it any quicker either. Great tool, will buy more.
