Bought this and an upcut spiral bit to do some mortises. Works great for that. I wasn't sure about the dust evac system when I bought it, but it actually works quite well. The port is kind of a weird size, but I made it work. This version of the router is "table ready" and I will probably take advantage of that with makeshift table. Basically all you need is a board and a fence. The stuff in the kit does the rest.

First of all, I really like this router. This tool is well designed, well balanced and works very well for me. It is an especially good setup for getting started with router work. Having both plunge and fixed bases gives you the best of both worlds without having to invest in two routers. The motor starts and runs very smoothly. I ended up investing in the dust-sucking handle as a separate investment. I dislike the little button that stops the rotation of the shaft during bit changes. I find the button is too small and is somewhat hard to hold down while turning a wrench to tighten or loosen the bit nut. Maybe I am a little picky, but I also would have liked a light on the tool. Overall, though this is an excellent tool.

First one received did not work. Woodcraft was very good and fast in replacing it and the second one works fine. Used in my small shop in a horizontal router table. Works great and expands the ease of doing things with a router. Have 3 setups now to do most anything.
