I needed a way to connect my 4 inch dust collection system to tools made in Austria that contained 120 mm outlets. This device, added to the 4 inch hose with simple self-fusing rubber splicing tape (any home improvement warehouse), actually worked perfectly on several tools. For the 120 mm outlet, I installed a 7 dollar flexible (rubbery) pvc connector, and then a 3 dollar styrene plastic elbow into that. This quick connector then slip-fits perfectly INTO that elbow (see picture). For other tools with 4 inch outlets, it also fits perfectly over and around their dust port outlets (see picture on a SawStop). It was a very simple and functional solution to a long-overdue issue. The only improvement I'd suggest: you really don't need to adjust the handle. I'd make it in a fixed position and beef up the point at which it connects to the rest of the unit. This thing works great. Try it out. If you don't like it, return it.

I was quite disappointed with this product, although it is built well and is sturdy, the opening that is supposed to go over your 4" dust collection openings does not fit any of the openings I have, not even the ones I purchased from Woodcraft. The only way to fix this would be to somehow turn the inside of the 4" side to make it large enough to slip over the 4" inch connections in your shop.
