Product Information:

Double brake locks both wheel and swivel rotation with the touch of a toe.

Put your entire shop on wheels! Load rating for each caster is 300 lbs. Easy rolling, non-marring, polyurethane tires will not "flat spot" during long periods of remaining stationary. Swivel and wheel ride on ball bearings for smooth rolling and turning. Double brake locks both wheel and swivel rotation with the touch of a toe. Unlike cheaper casters, which only lock the wheel and allow the supported load to move around as the caster rotates on its base, these provide a rock solid base. 5" casters are 6-1/4" tall. Plate size is 2-3/4" W x 3-3/4" L. Distance between holes is 1-3/4" x 3" center to center.

I built a 2" X 6" wood frame for a large old cast iron blacksmith forge, and its cast iron blower, and needed to replace 3" casters which were too low. The 5" ones work nicely as I winch the forge up a ramp onto my trailer to go demonstrate blacksmithing at other sites, often rough ground. No effects from exposure to rain and sun, heat or cold. Brakes hold well while trailering. 2 casters used with 2 of the 5" non-caster wheels, so the rig doesn't go sidewise on side slopes. Very satisfied.

The locking mechanism is the same size on the 3", 4", and 5" wheels. The smaller sizes are very easy to unlock.
