I used a pair of the 12" brackets to add a shelf to my wife's sewing machine cabinet. The brackets are perfect for this as the 19" by 20" shelf stores nicely out of the way. It has worked so well that I now am requested to add another to the back side of the cabinet for large pieces of material. Plus, I got points for doing this. HA!

I am a retail store manager at a mall kiosk whose inventory room is on a different floor. Too often we found ourselves hand-carrying boxes to the inventory room then fumbling with the keys to the room while trying to not drop the boxes, finally having to put all items on the floor while we unlock the door. I installed this little shelf so we could use one hand to open the shelf, then put the boxes on it while unlocking the door. Very useful! Good value for the money but a bit cumbersome to install. The wall studs did not line up with the open area I had to mount the shelf, so I mounted it in drywall with anchors; but by doing this it really dropped the load rating. It should still serve my purposes, but if the shelf starts to come off I plan to put some 2x4's on the other side of the drywall and use long screws to attach it in lieu of anchors.

Works greaat. Would like it in brown had to paint the white one. I like the design and how it works it is perfect for expanding counter space in my travel trailer.

I used it to add a space aving sddition to a work station in my garage. The bracket works great and supports additional work space perfectly. It was easy to set it up so the additional space is perfectly level when in the up position. There is no flexibility in the shelf when raised making for a steady surface.
