in the past i purchased a zero clearance blade insert for my dado blade and needed to purchase another zero clearance for my regular saw blade. when i received it i placed it into the panel groove without having to do any modifications. it fit perfect right out of the box. i have only used it a few times cutting melamine wood panels and it is working just fine. it eliminates splintering of the edges. i'm so glad i purchased the zero clearance blade. i'm sure i will get alot of useage out it for all the other projects i have in the que.

This is probably the best (maybe only) insert on the market for the R4510. The Good: It's well-machined, heavy enough to stay put, has a tab on the back edge to keep it from flipping up, and has no fewer than six adjustment screws to level it and make it fit tightly in the slot with no slop. The Bad: It was not designed with the blade arbor in mind, and so if you raise the blade too far, it lifts up the insert. The insert's documentation mentions this, but that's not really enough in my opinion. If an item is specific to a saw, I expect the manufacturer to have designed it to work fully with all of the saw's functionality. I solved this problem by doing some extra machining on the underside of my insert to create clearance for the arbor. Secondly, the insert's material is too soft to use with the saw's anti-kickback pawls. The pawls will dig in to the surface of the insert when one tries to lower the blade with the pawls in place. This isn't a problem with the stock insert because it has a peice of hardened steel for the pawls to slide across. I both called and e-mailed Leecraft to ask if they had heard of my issue with the pawls before and if they had any suggestions or solutions. I never heard back, which concerns me a bit about customer service.

Fits perfect , besides all the benefits of zero clearance cutting on the cut quality ,the hazard of ripping thin stock that would otherwise fall between the blade and fence with no support is eliminated .This should really come standard equipment with any tablesaw .

this was my second purchase from Woodcraft and once again, I chose wisely. Every review I read said I would need to use an 8 inch blade to cut a zero clearance insert. WRONG! Put it on my Ridgid R4510 and cranked up the blade. Perfect first time.[...]And after market stuff to fit Ridgid is hard to find. Now I'm starting to cut like a pro.

Its too thick and keeps the blade from going full height and does not sit flush as well as a steel one would. If using for a dado setup no slot pre started. middle of the road score.Would recommed to others but have them look around a bit first.
