Gouges and scrapers and skews, oh My!
Sierra Nevada foothills near Yosemite
Been a router artist for 2 decades. I started turning two years ago. First thing I did with this machine was sharpen all my lathe tools. Best edges I've ever had on them; better than what I got with water-cooled sharpener.

Go with Tormek
Was going to go with the Tormek System but the price as a little too high. I would've have thought by now that I would learn that you get what you pay for. One of the wheels was all chipped when I got it and were out of balance. The jig kit that I bought with it doesn't allow for any tools with short blades to be sharpened and even the face of the tool rest is large which prohibits anything shorter than 3 inches to be sharped except by freehand.
If you're serious about sharpening your tools perfectly, In my opinion, this is not the machine to purchase.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
