Product Information:

The Pinnacle #151-1/2 Spokeshave is a radius soled shave based on the classic Stanley gullwing design made in New Britain, beginning in 1911. It is manufactured from durable, rust resistant 304 stainless steel and features a precisely machined 45° blade bed. We’ve duplicated the original double screw fine blade adjustment and fitted this tool with a cryogenically treated, double tempered Pinnacle/IBC A2 steel blade hardened to Rc 60-62. The #151-1/2 is 10-3/4 " long, a robust 17+ ounces and utilizes a 2"-wide blade. This tool includes a wooden storage/presentation box with the Pinnacle logo and contains instructions for use, maintenance and care.

Comments about Pinnacle No. 151- 1/2 Radius Spokeshave :

I own several premium shaves made by other manufacturers and I bought the Pinnacle to use on a job site. The tool has a comfortable heft and is easy to set up. The only issue I found was that the blade needed a good deal of flattening in order to get it sharp. After that, however, it worked well. It won't replace my premium shaves in the shop, but it is a welcome addition to my working set.
