Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

The hex head will split the handle and there is no Ferrell to keep that from happening. The head need to be round so that it can be pressed successfully in to a round hole in the handle. Who designs hex heads for round holes?????

Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

I made 3 dozen of these before (gifts to friends and family), I loved them. Now this kit is missing the ferrell (I can make my own) and more importantly it used to give you a Phillips and a flat head screw driver on one end a 2 sizes of squire drive on the other, now both ends are Phillips and flat head (small and large) I really used the square drive - almost all electric outlet are square drive, as well as many other things. I won't buy this again without the square drive.

Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

I teach high school shop. I turned 6 of these out of Wenge for family & friends for Christmas. The web description says that the insert is knurled-inaccurate; mine were hex shaped which shows gaps (grrr!) when press fit into the wood with my tailstock. The only reason you should buy this is fora beginner bragging rights. Test your boring sizes. I found those given too large. Picture: test run in cherry mounted on self made mandrel.

Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

The best fit is to bore a 5/8 by 1 1/8 hole, then bore to the depth required with a 9/16 drill.I set the insert with 4 minute jewelers epoxy, then polish it to blend in better, that is before staining.

Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

I bought this kit for my first turning project ever and it is very easy and straight forward on how to assemble it. The 5/8 hole that the directions give is too large. But all in all a great first timer project and a lot of fun to work with. Looking forward to see how it holds up.

Directions say to use 5/8 inch diameter drill; this is too big. I used a 9/16 inch. Only time will tell if the tool will hold up to use.

Comments about 6-in-1 Screwdriver Kit :

I just want to let you all know that the instructions say to use a 5/8" (.62") drill bit but a 9/16" (.54") bit works better. The "nut" outside diameter measures .55".
