Comments about Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Rocking Roarer :

This plan is alright but not great. The templates are accurate and as long as you realize that you are basically buying templates, then it is fine. However, the order of work and detail of instruction is very weak. You can get through it but it could have been so much better.

Comments about Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Rocking Roarer :

I made this for my grandson for Christmas of 2011. I am a woodworker that normally makes cabinets like kitchens, vanities, built-ins, furniture and such. The plans are very good and easy to follow. I made a couple modifications like the front fender because it just looked too massive on the bike and I painted it metallic blue. Chromed it out ( a tip here if you are going to paint chrome paint everything flat black first and then paint it chrome it looks a lot better.)Plus I made the entire bike out of cabinet grade plywood with no voids. This thing is strong and I think will last forever. I put bicycle hand grips on the handle bars and foot pegs. My grandson has been playing with this for 2yrs now and nothing has broke on it yet. The only problem I have had is everyone that sees it wants one. I tell then no " this is a one off just for my grandson ". The reason I write this review 2yrs later is because now I have a 2yr old granddaughter and I am back to order a plan for a rocker for her. Now just to decide which one.

Comments about Woodworking Project Paper Plan to Build Rocking Roarer :

Wow the quality of these plans rock. I used transfer paper instead of cutting out any patterns. BE WARNED: this will take a ton of time. No really, plan on 40 plus hours if you have a shop. I wouldn't even attempt it without quality tools. ON THE OTHER HAND: my son loves it and that's the only thing that really matters.

I am not a woodworker but it still turned out great. I get tons of compliments on it, but the best compliment wr as the smile on my grandsons face. I changed the tank color to match my bike.
