Superior water-based finish
East Peoria, IL
General Finishes Enduro-var Top Coat, Satin, Quart
Used on hickory cabinets. Best water-based finish I've used.

Dawson Springs, Ky.
Decided to completely refinish my oak kitchen cabinets. Contacted supplier for a suggested finish that would work. They suggested General Finishes Enduro-var Top Coat. I must say that was an excellant choice. Cabinets look fantastic. I will definately use this product in the future.

This is my first use of water based clear finished in a very long time. I was leery about the clarity of the product. Prior uses of water basted finishes had a slight milky appearance. This product shows no hint of that. I tried it on a small project, using a cheap foam brush. It went down easily and flowed out great. Not the first sign of a brush mark or air bubble blemish. I very lightly sanded between coats. The final coat is smooth as glass. Now on to larger projects with the HVLP gun. If it sprays as well as it brushes, I'll kiss my nitro cellulose lacquer good bye!
We are using the third gallon on knotty pine kitchen cabinets. It is the perfect finish for these cabinets. We have used the cross-linker from the same company in all batches. We have brushed everything so far, but we plan to spray the cabinet doors.
After using about 30 different finishes this has to be my new favorite. I will test it with time but today I see no faults.
