Product Information:

The beauty of these revolutionary new turning tools is not really the hefty, 15? brightly finished maple handles, but the uniquely designed carbide cutters. Say goodbye to sharpening as these cutters, which add up to 20 additional hours of turning from each of the four-sides, are replaceable once dulled. Secondly, the cutter’s designed so that you don’t have to “find the bevel” when turning. Simply advance the tool slowly into the work piece and begin cutting straight in, or sweep the cutter from left to right, or right to left.

The Full-Size Easy Rougher hogs material off effortlessly by transferring cutting pressure directly to the tool rest and comes with the standard R4, 4? radius cutter for roughing larger pieces. Optional cutters include an R2, 2? radius used for finishing inside bowls under 8? in diameter and a square head cutter for roughing and creating square inside corners.

The Full-Size Easy Finisher & Full-Size Easy Finisher features a round carbide cutter for inside work on smaller bowls, or for cutting coves on spindle work.

The Mini Easy Rougher is called a mini-rougher for a reason. It is a great roughing tool for small work, but is also capable of producing finish cuts.

The Easy Detailer is paried with a diamond shaped cutter that can be used as a parting tool, as well ascreating beads, coves, v-groves or a dovetail for chucking bowls.

The Pro Easy Rougher is a limited edition, with a laser engraved signature endorsement from David Marks that is equipped with a 20? Bubinga handle (overall length 28-1/2").

There is no substitution for proper eye protection, so we recommend the Lexan® Chip Deflector which attaches to the shaft of the tool and helps deflect the massive amounts of material these tools remove.

Easy Wood Tool Mini’s - Easy wood has done it again! These mini tools feature all of the same benefits and qualities as their full size parents. The cutter’s are designed so that you do not have to “find the bevel” when turning. Simply advance the tool slowly into the work piece and begin cutting straight in, or sweep the cutter from left to right, or right to left. You will find these tools invaluable for those smaller more intricate turnings, such as pens, ornaments and smaller bowls, but they are ideal for roughing, finishing and detail work.

Comments about Mid-Size Easy Finisher :

I've been using the Easy Tools for nearly two years. There is a bit of a learning curve with all the Easy Tools, but I've not been that impressed with their "ease of use" advertisements. The main reason I've purchased so many of them is because of the replacement carbide cutters and their length options. I'm mobile for much of the year and don't want to drag my sharpening equipment along, therefore; when a tool gets dull, I either rotate the bit or replace it. You only need a couple of turning tools and lengths depending on your size projects. The basics for Easy Tools are simplicity and Easy Tool has applied that concept, however; the tools have a more limited application and you need to be wary of catches and gouges occurring, moreso with these tools than the HSS tools and their choice options. I've yet not enjoyed that clean cut as advertised. All my projects require significant sanding, even when the cutter is brand new. That translates into time and time is money. For that part, the various HSS tools do a better job and can be more easily navigated.

Comments about Mid-Size Easy Finisher :

Being a novice wood turner, this tool helped me to create some nice wood turned projects without the frustrations of learning how to use the tool. It just worked. The only thing I had to keep reminding myself was to keep the tool at the correct angle (which was easy). The instructions were clear about that.

Comments about Mid-Size Easy Finisher :

This is the best lathe tool I have ever bought! It does a great job. It takes the wood off very easily with no effort at all. And the best part is you never have to sharpen it. When it gets dull you just loosen the screw and turn the tip to a new sharp side and when all sides are dull you just buy a new cutter head. Great buy! Deffinitly worth the money!!

Comments about Mid-Size Easy Finisher :

The tool cuts extremely well. Fast and easy. Will it cut as cleanly as a skew, probably not. But also this comes with no danger of the inevitable catch a skew can provide a beginner. For a beginning woodworker it will provide a measure of self confidence for most general gouge usage type operations. For others, it's a well made, attractive tool that will certainly find a welcome spot on your tool rack.
