For black (or very dark) blanks only
Cambridge Hybrid Rollerball Pen Kit - Sterling Silver and Woodcraft Gold
Agree 100% with bbasset. Use a very dark blank or you will be dissappointed with the finished product. I've made two of these; one with a jet black acrylic blank that looks absolutely awesome and one with a cocobolo blank that came out looking cheap and "blingy". The black plastic ring completey ruined the look of the cocobolo pen which was a bummer because the wood itself is gorgeous. In fact it looks so bad that at first I thought I must have assembled it incorrectly!

First timer for the Cambridge pens. I wanted to make them because it displays wood in the pen and the top. Makes sense right....make a wood pen that displays the art! Well now I am rethinking. This is a pen that looks and operates great. I just don't know that it will be used. If you want to just show in a display case great. I'm making some for gifts but I don't think anyone on my gift list will actually use it. And did I stay that it's very heavy.

The only thing I don't like about this pen is that that insert on the end of the cap is Black Plastic. The black ring sands out with alot of pen blanks. Plan for the black ring and this is a nice kit.
