Product Information:

Fits Steel City #35900 series saws.

LEECRAFT Phenolic Inserts and Sheet Stock reduce splintering and chip-out on the bottom side of regular or dado table saw cuts. Simply raise your saw blade through the insert to create a "kerf" which precisely matches the blade on your saw. These 1/2" thick inserts are precision machined from a nearly frictionless melamine faced, high density phenolic laminate. Offer durability and flatness unobtainable from cheaper plastic inserts. Features like top mounted set screws for precise leveling, front/side adjustment screws for perfect side to side and front to rear fit, and a rear safety pin that keeps the rear of the insert in place, make this the best insert we have ever seen. Sheet stock material (1/2" x 11" x 15") is perfect for creating your own custom jigs and fixtures. Complete with instructions. Insert surface colors may vary.

Comments about Steel City Deluxe Blade Insert :

I purchased the insert plate with the expectations of a machined product that is flat. The plate I received as well as the replacement were not flat. Additionally, there was no rear safety pin as advertised. Come on. If you are going to manufacture insert plates, make them right. I can't justify a higher rating as an insert plate should foremost by FLAT! I will be purchasing a piece of Melamine and making my own inserts in the future.

Comments about Steel City Deluxe Blade Insert :

Bought this for the Ridgid Granite Top R4511. This installs easily by adjusting 2 screws threaded into two edges of the insert. Gives it a nice tight fit. They also put an undercut on the insert so it will sit flat when the blade is all the way down to make it much safer to make the initial cut through the insert. It is also much flatter and stiffer than the original metal insert.

Comments about Steel City Deluxe Blade Insert :

As stated above, the insert does not lock into the saw making me a little concerned it could catch on the blade with a little movement a fire back at the user.

Comments about Steel City Deluxe Blade Insert :

I bought two inserts to replace the factory insert for my Model 35903, which is not flat and can not be leveled. The LeeCraft insert is easy to install and level, but only works for straight cuts. The blade will not lower far enough, if it is tilted more than about 20 degrees. Note - The WARNINGS state "RIVING KNIFE MUST BE REMOVED", but this is not stated in the instructions.

Comments about Steel City Deluxe Blade Insert :

The fit was excellent & setting it up was a lot easier than the original insert. However, the pre-cut riving knife hole wasn't long enough for my riving knife (supplied with the machine) and as I raised the blade to cut the zero-clearance, the riving knife caused a slight fracture in the insert between the knife and the blade part of the insert. I'm not too stressed about this as it will not interfere with the cut.
