Product Information:

These are true Japanese style stones intended to mimic natural water stones in use. They have the feel and speed of a natural stone with the grain consistency of a man made stone. Ice Bear water stones cut fast and produce the superior scratch patterns so necessary when moving through the grit range to progressively fine stones. Whether you stop at 4000, 6000 or continue to 8000 and beyond, these stones make the task of polishing your blade's edge - easier and faster than ever before. All stones are approximately 7-1/4"x 2-3/8"x 3/4".

Comments about King Ice Bear Waterstone, 6000 Grit :

Originally purchased for use with a straight razor, this stone has been subsequently used on 90% of my knives as well, always giving a beautiful edge. It cuts slowly, so even a novice water stone user can use it without much worry. It absorbs water like a sponge, and takes a good while to dry out, but if properly flattened and with sufficient slurry it will put a fantastic edge on anything you can think of.
