Product Information:

Cebil or Patagonian Rosewood (Anadenanthera collubrina). Cebil is a very attractive wood. Similar to black cherry, but more figured and richer in color. Dark streaks or stripes throughout the wood. Much denser and harder than cherry. Widely used in Argentina for applications which require strength and durability. Typical Uses: Industrial applications, flooring, tool handles. Source Region: Paraguay, Argentina, Brazil

  • Heavy wood with fine uniform texture
  • Turns well and polishes to a high gloss

    Comments about Cebil 3" x 3" x 12" :

    Bought this wood to use for lathe turning candle holders. Wood came with a heavy coating of wax. Turned beautifully with very sharp tools and took a very good shine. I think the wood may have been too green however as I am starting to see significant checking on several finished pieces that wasn't there initially.
