Comments about White Oak 7/8" x 50' Edge Banding :

I've been working on a large project that requires a lot of white oak edge banding. I originally purchased it from a dedicated edge banding company (in 250' rolls). I just needed a bit extra to complete the job so I figured I would save some money and buy this 50' roll. PROS None really. Though I guess it's a pro that you can buy it in 50' rolls. CONS 1. The color and grain of the edge banding isn't very good. The edge banding purchased from the other company exactly matched the color of the quarter sawn white oak plywood I was using. This stuff is much more red. 2. There are splices every 5-6 feet. The other edge banding had splices every 10' or so. So if you're edge banding anything longer than 5-6 feet, you're going to have a visible splice.
