Product Information:

Have your shop vac start up and shut down automatically every time you turn your sander, router or other handheld power tool on or off. Simply plug your power tool into one socket of the i-Socket Vacuum Automator and your shop vac into the other. Starting the tool will automatically turn on the shop vac, and it will continue to run for approximately seven seconds after you shut the tool off.

Comments about i-Socket Autoswitch Shop Vacuum Control :

When this product worked it was great But this product is highly priced but doesn't last more than 6 months. I am not using this for long periods so it it should have lasted for years in my opinion. I will not buy another one. The reliability needs to be improved. I will look for an alternative solution.

Plug and play design - great for sanding interior stairs - connect shop vac and sander - don't have to worry about going back and forth to multiple switches. Stopped working one tie - unplugged and plugged back in - worked great.

I bought two of these devices, and gave them as gifts to friends after I used them. We use shop vacs for dust collection on cutoff saws and sanders on our projects. No need to reach down and turn the vac on and off, this does it for you.

I had seen this item on several occasions and thought it was a gimmick. I was also leary after reading some other reviews. Purchased one anyway and am very happy that I did. It has work flawlessly and I have had no problems at all. It is definetely a step saver (no longer running to the vacuum or dust collector to turn on and off. Will probably be purchasing more in the near future.

Bought this item, has to be three years ago now, and have had no problems at all. Unit is mounted to the wall and hasn't moved since day one. It has heavy use in a busy wood shop with cheep owners that wont buy a dust collection system that we desperately need so we got this instead. will be purchasing 3 more today. reading some of the other reviews, I am keeping my fingers crossed that these ones work as well as the first one has.

Dead after very little use

Comments about i-Socket Autoswitch Shop Vacuum Control :

I bought on of these thinking it's exactly what I wanted. It worked great for a few months, and then died. I'm an occasional weekend woodworker, and didn't exactly stress the thing. I'd put this is the "nice idea but lousy execution" category.

Comments about i-Socket Autoswitch Shop Vacuum Control :

I recently built a mobile miter saw station and then purchased a Ridgid Shop vac to dedicate ot my miter saw. This is the perfect complement. I used a 25 foot extension cord to pulg this into. I was leary about this product after some of the reviews, but I just love it and the ease of use. No more moving my other shop vac and having to hook it up then remembering to turn it on. This product does it all for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Comments about i-Socket Autoswitch Shop Vacuum Control :

I bought this product about 4 or 5 months ago from the Jacksonville Florida Woodcraft store. Wanted it for my Bandsaw and a shop vac. The device will turn on the shop vac when not using the tool. I cannot trust it as it is a dangerous fire hazard.
