Product Information:

Expand the versatility of your lathe and mount your workpieces quicker and easier with the self-centering 4-jaw chuck. You'll appreciate the following features: wide range of jaw movement, quick action and a powerful grip in either expansion or contraction modes. Jaws will expand and grip in a 2-3" dovetailed recess in the base of your turning. Simply rotate the chuck's outer ring in the opposite direction to firmly hold round stock between 1-5/8" and 2-3/4" or square billets 1-1/8" to 2-1/8" in size. No disassembly or accessories are required to use the accompanying screw chuck, which has a 1-1/8" long right hand thread. Chuck body is chrome-plated to protect against corrosion while the jaws are anodized black. Comes complete with screw center, locking levers, T-handled hex wrench for jaw screws and 8 extra jaw screws. Everything is secure in a fitted plastic storage/carrying case.

    Comments about WoodRiver 4 Jaw Lathe Chuck w/Case 3/4" x 16 TPI :

The unit is a good value for the money, it is not suited for large work or a production shop it is more suited to the beginner or casual user. there was a problem with the worm screw it was almost .0030 oversize and would not hold in the chuck jaws fortunately I have a small metal working lathe and was able to correct the problem. I would recommend it with the fore mentioned cautions.

    Comments about WoodRiver 4 Jaw Lathe Chuck w/Case 3/4" x 16 TPI :

I bought this chuck for my Vintage Lathe and found it well worth the price. I was and impressed by the build quality and nice finish. Easy to mount a bowl, adjust and tighten by hand and then secure it with the tommy bars. Several different inserts available so I can use the chuck on more than one lathe. I put a drop of Lock-Tite on the insert threads to secure it in the chuck. Watch out for the chuck jaws if you haven't turned with a chuck before. They don't give a bit.
