Feels different to me than the original
Boynton Beach, FL
Waterlox Original Satin Finish, 450 VOC, Quart
I must have ordered the 450 VOC by mistake as that is what I received. But I like the 'feel' of the original so much better. The 450 VOC just feels "stickier" to me and gets tacky before I can wipe off the access even from small carvings.
It seems to 'look' okay on the finish... just seems less 'user friendly'. I will definitely go back to the original after I use this stuff. Way too expensive to set aside.
The original formula is the best and most fool-proof finish I have been introduced to. This formulation.... nyah.
Great finish on guitars.
Easy to apply but you have to make sure it dries well between coats. Fantastic finish. I've been using tung oil and bee's wax for quite a few years. This product is the ticket!!

Would use this product every time
Best natural looking protective finish
I use this on woodturnings both utility and decorative.
one of the best finishes around
been using it for years on cabnets, floors, countertops, furniture. rubs out beautifully.
Love this stuff.
I keep coming back to this product. I sometimes think to try a straight poly, but Waterlox has provided a beautiful finish every time. I typically add a few coats of shellac to give a nice smooth surface and seal any dye I use prior to adding this product. I have never had to go back and redo any surface (counter tops/table tops). I made a walnut TV stand for my father. He has a big CRT TV and slides it around to view from his chair. Two years later, I don't see any signs of deep scratches or wear. It really brought out the character of the walnut, too.
I will buy this finish again.
I use this product on my utility bowls. It resist hot/cold, food stains and acids.
