Had to modify to make it useful
Picture Framing Brad Setter
The tip with the magnet failed after setting 3 three brads in hardwood. The screw holding it on stripped out from the force of pulling the brad and the magnetic immediately chipped out. I modified it by redrilling and tapping the end hole to accept a 1/4X20 bolt and turned the tip around so as not to use the magnet. It works now.

Works great when it works
Totally agree with Mr. Dawson about the ill-placed magnet. This tool is, however, pretty good when it's working correctly. Driving a brad or nail into the back of a frame is effortless. My beef is with the wing nut. You can't finger-tighten it enough to keep the arm in place. One squeeze of the handle and it comes loose. Use pliers to tighten the wing nut - just take care not to strip the threads.

Brad Setter Flawed
This brad setter is a good idea and fairly well executed. It has one major problem: the magnet head does not reach the battom of the setter head, meaning that it won't hold brads flush to the backing in the frame. What a shame!

Expo the expositor
What a great brad setter. I know brad setters and this one is amazing. The concept...the style...the workmanship. The best I've seen!
