The expanded rear scale is easily read, and includes preset holes at 1/4" intervals for use as a go-no-go gauge, a handy feature for repetitive surface planing or checking turning diameters.     Like at least one other reviewer: the pivot screw nut doesn't stay tight. You have to tighten it before each use. In addition, the scale is only grauduated in 1/32 inches. I was expecting more accuracy from the tool.
