Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

I have used titebond III to make several bamboo backed red oak bows. I have glued teak to red oak and ebony to bamboo. The bows have been in the rain and in the snow and the glue has shown no sign of problems. The glue does dry to a light tan color and tends to darken a bit more than oak of the same color when stained with minwax stains.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

I build outdoor furniture and need waterPROOF (v. waterRESISTANT) glues. Have tried MANY different glues and keep going back to Titebond III. Compared to gasoline it sounds expensive at around $35/gallon. But it works! And it is easy to work with. Have made "mistakes" and it does not pull apart after it sets; nor does my furniture come apart after years of sitting outside.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

I make a lot of end-grain cutting boards and use TiteBond III all the time. I appreciate the waterproof qualities and low temperature bonding. It works great. The adhesion is strong and it is in deed true that its bond is stronger than the wood itself!

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

This glue provides ample assembly time, spreads easily, totally waterproof, and bonds like steel. It's water clean-up and you don't have to mess with it foaming out of joints like polyurethane glues. If your a woodworker this is the ultimate glue.

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

I'm using this for a large glue-up, a laminated bench top. My glue surfaces are 4'' by 8'. Titebond III is the best I've found so far for this type of project. I can remove the clamps in about an hour without issues. I tried a distruction test with it a little while back. The oak I glued split and the glue never gave. It's also great for small stuff, but don't buy the gallon unless your doing a LOT and QUICKLY. The gallon is the cheepest, but if you keep it on a shelf in the garage, don't plan on it still working as well in 2 years. AND DON'T LET IT FREEZ, IT WILL SEPPERATE. That said, it's all I use for wood any more. Plan your projects/buying accordingly, and enjoy!

Comments about Titebond III Waterproof Glue, Gallon :

The glue is a good replacement for urethane glue , but you have to go easy on the clamping . I had several glue joints get starved from too much clamp pressure and the joint openned . It is a very good waterproof glue .
