check your supplier of plywood
WoodRiver Straight Router Bit 1/2"SH 31/64"D 1"CL
After using the bit, found out that my supplier of plywood was not 31/64, but near 7/16", a full 1/16" shy of the nominal size. Makes for a loose joint. The bit worked fine, not the bit's fault. Will carry a sample of the groove to the store to check the thickness! I think a 7/16 bit will take care of this problem so that I don't have to use the dado blade.

Better than I expected
This was my first attempt at using a "plywood" sized bit for dados. Previously, I had always used an undersized bit and made several passes. As is usually the case, using the right tool (in this case the right sized bit) really does make all the difference and I can't believe how tight the dados are!
I picked this brand because it was the cheapest and I didn't have a lot of dados to make. That said, it has remained sharp much longer than I expected.
Just beware that it fits VERY tightly in the case it comes in. Use caution when removing it, or you can easily slip and give youself a nasty cut.
