Quality Lamp Made in USA
St. Louis, Mo.
Buy the BEST I can afford
As the headline says, this is a professional grade, quality lamp, made in the USA. The flexible arm is indeed very flexible, but it stays right where you put it. The arm has a high-quality vinyl covering to keep dust out.
The lamp is rated for up to 100W incandescant bulbs, 23W CFL bulbs, which is more than most cheaper lamps can safely accept. The lamp shroud has thick aluminum fins to dissipate heat, keeping the shroud cool to the touch even when using a 100W bulb.
The on/off switch is easily accessible at the top of the shroud and it operates smoothly.
This lamp comes with multiple mounting options. One thing to note, however, is that all of those options require the arm to be oriented vertically at the mount, so you can't stick the lamp to, say, the side of your bandsaw head. The same lamp, however, is available from other suppliers with different mounting options that are suitable for horizontal projection from the mount.
If you need more light focused on your work, this is definitely a lamp worth buying.

High cost, limited use
Jack of many, master of none
St. Louis Mol
Lamp feels solid. Neck stays where you put it. The base mount rotates freely, if you try to use this on a vertical sufface it swings and hangs based on the weight of the head. This makes this lamp only good for horizontal mounting. Considering the cost, it's uses are way to limiting.

Best Shop Light Ever!!!
This lamp is the most versatile lighting fixture I have ever bought for my shop. It will mount literally anywhere. It is rated to handle a 100 watt bulb. A whole lot of value for the price.
This one works!
Most 'goose neck' lamps won't hold their position, but you can put this one just where you want it and it stays there. Make a wooden base that fits into bench dog holes and you can locate it right where you are working. This guy is the first tool I sit out when I'm cutting dovetails.
Long over due lighting
Jim the Jack
With the various mounting bases im able to mount the light on different machines because of the quick disconnect mount. the 100watt capability is also a plus.
