Very Good But Could Be Better
WoodRiver Retracting Casters
These work very well but the casters don't adjust for for height. One of mine needed to extend about another 1/8" or so but only one of the locking nuts move, the other is welded in place so the caster is a set height as it comes. I added an extra washer but it would be much easier if both nuts moved so the caster height would adjust.

Great Casters for Shop Equipment
Merritt Island, Florida
Just ordered the 3rd set of these. Put first set on my 1967 Craftsman 12" Commercial Table Saw. Put second set on my Ridgid Jointer. Third set will go on the new steel stand I just ordered for my 12" Dewalt Planer. With these three machines plus all my other equipment, I have a real shortage of space. Being able to easily roll these machines out of the way is great. These casters are foot operated. They ended the problem of getting down on my tired old knees to screw the original casters down to move my big table saw around.
I had to drill holes to mount the unit onto my disk sander but what a difference. I can easily move the unit around with little effort. Just snap the wheels up or down to move or have the unit stable.

Reliable and Stable
Installed on heavy, 60's Craftsman table saw and no problems... Works great
Nothing Like it on the Market!
Plusses: There is nothing like these on the market--period! They work--as long as you don't try to put them on something really heavy. They are reasonably priced. They are not hard to install but did require a lot of drilling (5/16"). The operation of the flip-down mechanism is simple and positive. Shipping was quick and product arrived in pristine condition.
Minuses: Mounting hardware incomplete (no lock washers). Lots of drilling required (5/16"); I went through two drill bits. Caster wheels seem light, but do work okay on my garage floor. Absolutely no instructions included. These things increase the footprint of my tool stand by over a foot each way; in my garage-workshop space is at a minimum.
All in all, I am well satisfied. They took a while to install--I found it easier to disassemble the saw--but I enjoy this kind of thing.

Works as advertised
Used them for a very heavy planer. Now I can move it to wherever it works the best. Had to drill holes in the legs for them but no problem.
Does not fit all support legs
Does not fit on the legs of the Craftsman 14 inch band saw.
best thing since sliced bread
