3" Caster, Double Locking, Swiveling with 4 Hole Mounting Plate, 4-1/4" Tall
Installed these on a work bench a few years ago, but the red poly tire disintegrated with only slight use over the time I've had them. The poly appears to age very quickly and loses its resilience. Based on other reviews, this seems to be a common problem.

Bought a set of four 3" casters, 2-swivel and 2-fixed about 4 years ago. Installed on a 3'x 4' table used for both tablesaw outfeed and assembly. Total weight of table is well under the weight limit and floor is flat, level solid wood. After less than 2 years of very light use, the red outer part of the caster broke off in large pieces. To Woodcraft's credit, they replaced them at no charge and told me that they have had some issues with these and the manufacturer has fixed the problem. The new casters lasted less than a year. Would not accept free replacements again and currently looking to replace with something better.
Does the job!
I have a very heavy router table/cabinet that I have caster's on to roll it around my shop. This is my fourth pair. I started with a very inexpensive (cheap) set that would not hold anything still, then I progress through two more, each more expensive, trying to keep my cabinet from rolling while I was running sheet goods through the router. All to no avail until I broke down and ordered these casters. Now my cabinet locks and stays locked and does not roll around when I am routing wood. I am extremely satisfied with these casters and would recommend them highly.

Works great at first but doesn't last
DO NOT BUY THESE CASTERS.
A few years ago Woodcraft had these casters on sale at an attractive price, so I bought 16 (12 swiveling and 4 fixed). When they arrived I used 4 of the casters to mobilize a shop cart and 4 more to mobilize an assembly bench. I saved the other 8 casters for future projects.
When I first used the casters I was delighted. Although I rarely moved either the cart or the bench (and when I did they were only moved 10 or 15 feet), they rolled smoothly across my concrete shop floor -- much more smoothly than the machines I had mobilized with factory-supplied wheeled bases that had smaller casters. I would have rated these casters at 5 stars.
Soon after that I put my shop in storage for 2 years. I have recently gotten it out of storage and have been setting up my shop again. Almost immediately the red polyurethane tires on these wheels stated cracking and then coming off in chunks, much like you see large pieces of tire retreads on the interstate highways. The bench and cart that I had mobilized with these casters are now very difficult to move. As both have been used only on smooth concrete and have rolled no more than 100-120 feet total, clearly these casters are not up to the task. From other reviews it appears that after just a few years the polyurethane tires on these casters disintegrate. Clearly Woodcraft is aware of this problem, yet it continues to sell these casters.
So now I have a bench and a cart that won't roll and 8 more brand-new, nice-looking casters that I know will self-destruct if I actually try to use them. Thank you, Woodcraft.
A woodshop is a light industrial environment. I expect a company that sells tools and supplies for use in such an environment to sell only those that are up to the task. Those who prefer light-duty pretend tools can always shop at a big-box home retailer. I expect better from Woodcraft.

The mounting holes in the plates are very large. I think most people would like to use standard pan head screws (like #10 or #12) for mounting. The store had no screws that would work - the screw head fell though the mounting hole. The package had no instructions for screwing the plate to a frame.
Fabulous Mr Fixit
Replaced smaller wheels on a router table. This size and wheel material improved the mobility of the table tremendously!
Are perfect for my use as base for tool stands.
Satisfied my needs

5th set and counting
I have ordered these casters many times. Used them on lumber cart, lumber rack, clamp rack, router table, work tables, sanding table. They roll easly, lock in place well and allow things to be moved around a small shop as needed. I have had no problems or failures with any of these casters over several years of use.
These things work. I put them on a heavy 32" x 8' very heavy workbench and they can easily handle the weight. And, they hold their lock.
