Comments about Benchtop Power Carving Dust Collector :

This unit has worked well on the shop bench when doing carving and engraving. I leave it on all the time to also act as an air scrubber. The amount of airflow clears the room quickly of airborne dust.

Comments about Benchtop Power Carving Dust Collector :

I bought this a couple of weeks ago and it performs exactly as I had hoped. I have a mini lathe on my bench and I can position this directly behind it. Even without using the plexiglas shields, this unit draws away the dust during sanding when it is positioned appropriately behind the lathe and as close as possible without hitting the tool rest. I have been turning for a little over a year and have just a small workshop in a section of my basement. I wish I had bought this sooner. I read reviews of a similar and less expensive unit. This one worked perfectly out of the box. Hopefully that is a sign of its reliability in which case I am happy with spending a little extra for the initial quality.

Comments about Benchtop Power Carving Dust Collector :

We have been bone carvers for some time . Bone dust as some of you know is very light and stays in the air for daaaaays after you are finished with that piece . We did several hours of rough outs ( the worst offender of all , the saw lol ) and the house hardly smelled at all , most of the dust was caught and trapped . If you turn on one fan only the machine will draw the exhaust back in and refilter it giveing you even better results :-) The only thing we were unhappy about is the velcro that holds the plexi panels to the box was not adheared well to the plexi and began to peal off in the first hour . We would give it five stars if that were fixed . get yourself one today !

Comments about Benchtop Power Carving Dust Collector :

I use mine at the lathe when I sand or turn a dusty wood. It has worked great for about 10 years. Wifey threw the filter away cause it looked really dirty....so I am ordering a couple of new ones and changing the lock on the shop. I vacuum the filter out with my shop vac. Large chips still remain but the fine dust is removed and it still works great. Had the first filter for 10 years.

Comments about Benchtop Power Carving Dust Collector :

I have been using this dust collector in my studio for 2 years and it has worked very well. It was very competitvely priced when I bought it. Good power, not too noisy for a double fan collector. Hard to find the 2 inch thick filter replacments initially. I could find 1 in thick filters at [...] and others. Now you can find 2 inch filters at Woodcraft. Dependable and worth price paid. I do wish it had a carry handle on top though, so I could move it around the studio a little easier.
