WoodRiver 8 Piece Large Coarse Riffler Set
I purchased these rifflers before I really got into wood carving not knowing much about this type of tool I wasn't about to spend a tone of money on them. Well you get what you pay for. With so few teeth on these rifflers I don't see any way they could be used on wood. The only good use I've managed to get out of them is for carving floral foam which I do for a small model on new projects.

The biggest deception ever
Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
I had seen close up pictures os the other riffler sets you sell, but decided to buy a cheaper one just to start since I had never used this tool. Didn't pay much attention to the pictures in the site which was a big mistake, It was all there to see; had I paid close attention I would have been be able to notice the horrible craftsmanship applied on the construction of the pseudo tool. It looks prehistorical! Trash is the word that describes it! I'll probably throw it away so I don't have to think about it any longer. Well, lost about 30 bucks...
I don't know what these would be good for. Maybe balsa wood. They seem to be too coarse for their small size.
too much money not enough zing
Brasher Falls, ny
I find these poorly made and dull even in softer wood. Doing a spiraling project was imposable because the rasp edges have no cutting teeth, thought I'd save a few bucks but wasted my money, should have gone for a different set of rasps.
I have just received this for Xmas am delighted as I have wanted a set of my own for a while. I have not had the chance to use them yet so cannot comment on most of these... [...]
Jim the Runner
although the product does work, it's of a very poor quality. even a large rifler should have more teeth than those ones did. bottom line if the pictures were of the actual product, that is the quality of the product i received, i would not have bought them. they seriously looked like something you find at a year round yard sale in a trailer park.
Work better if they had handles,OK
would be a better tool with longer /or a set of handles to stablise them

Bud the furniture man
I use this product for striping and refinsing furniture.
Files work great on most surfaces.
Some of the files need to be a little sharper on some of the ends for tighter decorative pieces of wood.
