Product Information:

Wood is the essential ingredient in our passionate pursuit. For the true woodworker, there is nothing more important than creating a project from the right wood stock. This thin stock is cut to size from quality, kiln-dried stock. 100% clear and sanded on both sides. Dimensions are +/- 1/8". Grain runs with the longest dimension. Ash (Fraxinus americana) is light brown heartwood with almost all white sapwood. Straight grain with coarse texture. Excellent bending properties and shock resistance. USA.

  • Due to the nature of wood movement, shrinkage and expansion are possible. Please measure each piece carefully before starting any project.

Wood is a product of nature, and as such, no two pieces are alike to start with, while the same wood growing in different locales can vary greatly even though it is the exact same species.

    Comments about Ash 3/4" x 6" x 36" :

A nice, easy to work wood. Cuts nicely, sands well and takes a smooth surface easily. The veins on the growth rings of the grain give it a unique texture and style while the rest of the surface of the timber was relatively smooth.
