Comments about Irwin Blue Chip Chisel, 1/4" :

After buying a basic 4 piece set I decided to order some of the other sizes. Unfortunately the handle shape has been changed that I don't like, but the part number has remained the same. I have ordered several additional size chisels and have twice received the new handle design instead of the original / traditional style handle. The new style handle is well suited for striking with a mallet or hammer but not well suited for hand paring like dovetailing or hinge inletting. The reverse taper causes hand fatigue because the tool slips through your hands when trying to push the chisel.
