Use silicone lube to get these on. I tried without lube and they are no fun to put on. Add a little silicone lube, they go on no problem and they won't slide around once on. Just a thin coat is required. Put a little lube on your fingertip, apply it to the pen and slide your tube over it.

Comments about Handpiece Protectors, Foam, (4) :

I contacted this site to find another fixed tip pen to go along with the one that I have had for some time. I use the Detail Sabre IV for basic gourd and bamboo burning. The pen gets very hot, even at low settings. When I saw these (while on the phone with the rep) I liked the idea. He did say they are interesting/challenging to get on the pen. The work around--use rubbing alcohol to wet them lightly and they go on fairly easy. You still have to work them, but they are supposed to fit snugly! They do indeed make a HUGE difference with the heat of the pen. Simple product that does work. Many internet purchases, but first time to submit a review for anything. I didn't someone to be turned off by one totally negative review.
