Almost all exotic and got a Snakewood !
Lake Forest, CA
5-lbs. Pen Blank Grab Bag
More than half is black and white ebony (so may resell some), but I got Snakewood, spalted sycamore, pink ivory short, something super dark and hard I can't identify (may be stabilized), and some random shorts for keychains. All in all a very good value. Almost all is exotic apart from the 2 semi-birdseye maple blanks & the sycamore.

Grab bag pen blank, 5 lbs of gold
Apple Valley, Ca
my wife asked me to make crochet handles due to arthritis in her hands, most store bought hooks are very small in diatmeter and are extreamley hard to hold on to, these blanks did the job for her. turned like a pen, almost, with minor adustments and she can now do her corchet with ease again.
It's an alright bag of wood for [$]
Maple Valley WA
The bag of wood has some good exotic and domestic wood. Theirs almost no shorty's. The down side to this is that theirs no quality control. Theirs a piece in their that the ends are cut to a point, which you have to cut down to size. But, other then the quality, it's a good product for the price.
The largest number of blanks were totally unusable as pen blanks; they appeared to be just small pieces of soft fir. Also, about 1/3 of the good pieces were split badly, and some were just too small. The ad says domestic and exotic pen blanks, but there just weren't that many of them in the bag. Overall? Disappointing and not up to Woodcraft standards.

Lots of blanks, some good
Lots of blanks, but only 20 or so were really something i would use. The ones that were good were actually very good quality with lots of figuring (Cocobolo). out of 83 blanks, 20 were good. Not to many shorties.
great wood lot but unlabled
38 blanks in the bag and all in good quality. About 4 or 5 shorties and 1 gem quality(shorty.) All of the blanks were unlabeled even though the description states that they will be labeled. I run a business selling what I make and my customers expect me to be able to tell them what kind of wood they are buying from me. I'm now gonna have to spend hours trying to ID the wood I received.

Quite a bit of blanks, but of what?
There were 72 blanks and about 10 "shorties." Unfortunately I don't know what any of it is. I guess, as long as they make good pens, I'll be happy. It only cost me [$] (on sale), so I can afford to mess up quite a few. These will be my first pens. There were a bunch of striped dark ones, maybe a few purpleheart and a few yellowheart. There were also a bunch of non-descript rather plain-looking pale wood, perhaps even softwoods. We'll see how I like it after I turn a few. But really, [$] for 72+ blanks is a pretty good value. There's bound to be some gems in there.
Good varity , many used besides pens, some were burnt and not usable. Definately worth the price.
Depends on what you get
I have ordered four of these. Two I picked in the store and two were ordered online. If you can see what you are getting it's a fantastic deal. The two I ordered online had a lot of the same wood.
